Detailed Description
Beautiful Oceanfront Setting
Aloha Kai Luau takes place at Sea Life Park Hawaii, one of Oahu’s most picturesque oceanfront venues. Set against the dramatic Makapuʻu coastline and Rabbit Island, the spacious outdoor venue provides the perfect setting to enjoy an unforgettable Hawaiian evening while surrounded by breathtaking coastal scenery.
Experience the Traditional IMU Ceremony
One of the highlights of the evening is the traditional IMU (underground oven) ceremony. Watch as the Kalua Pig is carefully uncovered from an underground oven using an authentic Hawaiian cooking method that has been passed down for generations. This special ceremony marks the beginning of the luau feast and offers a unique glimpse into Hawaii’s rich cultural heritage.
Interactive Cultural Activities
Before the show begins, guests are invited to participate in a variety of hands-on Polynesian cultural activities. Learn coconut leaf weaving, try playing the ukulele, make a traditional Kupeʻe bracelet, and discover the tools used in hula dancing. You can also enjoy coconut tree climbing demonstrations, coconut preparation demonstrations, and mini hula performances throughout the evening. These interactive experiences make the luau especially enjoyable for children and families.
Polynesian Show & Fire Knife Performance
Following dinner, enjoy an exciting Polynesian show featuring traditional music and dances from Hawaii, Samoa, Tahiti, and New Zealand. The evening concludes with a spectacular Fire Knife performance, one of the most anticipated highlights of the luau.
Hawaiian Buffet Dinner
Savor a delicious Hawaiian-style buffet featuring a variety of local favorites, including the famous Kalua Pig prepared in the traditional IMU underground oven. The buffet offers a wonderful opportunity to experience the flavors of Hawaii while enjoying the beautiful oceanfront atmosphere.
