The Kohala canopy course is built as much as a challenge course as a zipline, and it is set inside a private forest reserve in North Kohala.

You fly over ledges, cross sky bridges and drop onto a hanging deck built into the cliff beside a waterfall. Hawaii has exactly one spiral tree-based staircase and it is part of this course rather than an extra.

Two ways to book it; the course on its own as a half day, or the course paired with the Kohala waterfall walk and a swim for a full day.

An on-course photo system built for ziplines is available, so you are not carrying a camera through the course.

Weight and age limits apply to the zipline course. Tell us who is coming and we will confirm what each person can join before we book. Online booking is still being set up; send an inquiry or call and we will hold your places.

    Tour's Location

    Hawi, Hawaii

    Is this suitable for beginners?

Yes. The course is built for first-timers as well as people who have ziplined before, and certified guides handle the equipment throughout.

What is the difference between the two options?

Kohala Zipline Adventure is the five-line half day. Zip and Dip is the full eight-line course plus the waterfall walk and a swim, about nine hours.

    What makes this course different?

Sky bridges, a cliffside hanging deck next to a waterfall, and the only spiral tree-based staircase in Hawaii. It is closer to a challenge course than a straight line through the trees.

Are there age and weight limits?

Yes, set by the course. Tell us who is coming and we will confirm the limits for your group before we book.

    Can I take photos?

An on-course photo system built for ziplines is available, so you do not have to carry a camera.

    What is included?

All zipline and safety equipment, certified guides, private reserve access and transportation. Zip and Dip also includes lunch.

    Can I book online yet?

Not yet. Online booking for this tour is still being set up. Send us an inquiry through the form on this page, or call 808-922-1122, and we will arrange the reservation for you.
