Tanaka of Tokyo is the teppanyaki dinner most Waikiki visitors picture; a chef at your table, a hot steel griddle, and the whole meal cooked in front of you.

It has been running in Waikiki since 1978. Seating is communal around the griddle, which makes it work well for families and for anyone who wants dinner to be an event rather than just a meal.

Both sets below are one fixed price per person and include the full accompaniment course, not just the main.

How Your Reservation Is Confirmed

Give us a first and a second choice of date and time.Your first choice is confirmed automatically in most cases, and you will have the confirmation within one business day.
If the restaurant is full at your first choice, we contact you.We then confirm your second choice instead.
Set menus are prepared in advance by the kitchen.Please send your request at least 3 days before your date.

Good to Know

Seating is around a shared teppan griddle.Small parties are usually seated with other guests, which is how teppanyaki works.
Two locations in Waikiki.Central is on the 3rd floor of Waikiki Shopping Plaza; East is on the ground floor of the Ohana Waikiki East hotel. Tell us which you prefer and we will book it.
Drinks are paid at the restaurant.The set covers the food course as listed.
