The Na Pali Coast runs seventeen miles along the north shore of Kauai, and there is no road to it. Cliffs rise straight out of the ocean to three thousand feet, waterfalls drop off the rock face, and the sea has cut caves into the base of it. From the water you get close enough to feel the spray coming off the cliffs.

This tour runs on a 35 foot power catamaran built for this coastline; one captain, one crew, and eighteen guests. A smaller, faster boat gets in nearer to the cliffs and the caves than the large vessels can.

Good to Know

This is a power catamaran, not a sailing boat.It moves quickly and the ride can be splashy, particularly in the afternoon.

Snorkeling is likely but not guaranteed.Whether the boat can stop depends on the ocean that day. The tour is first a sightseeing trip along the coast.

Guests should be in good health.The operator does not carry guests with neck or back problems, recent surgery, or who are pregnant. Minimum age is 4.
