OperatorSkyline, since 2002
Skyline built the first commercial zipline in the United States, on Haleakala in 2002. They now run two sites on Maui; one up the mountain just outside the national park, and one in the hills above the Kaanapali resorts.
Guides go through eighty hours of training, twice the industry requirement for CPR, plus a three day grounding in Hawaiian history and the native ecosystem. The company has planted more than twenty thousand native trees on Maui and has been carbon neutral since 2006.

Good to Know
There are weight limits on the ziplines.Kaanapali takes 80 to 260 lbs, Haleakala 60 to 260 lbs. They are equipment limits, not preferences.
The tours run in light rain.Only lightning stops a zipline tour. Bring a layer; the Haleakala site is at altitude and it is colder than the coast.
The sunrise tour starts in the small hours.Pickup is well before dawn to reach the summit in time, and the summit is near freezing at that hour.
Closed-toe shoes are required for ziplining. No sandals or flip-flops on the course.
